ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS IMPOSED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
Alcohol shall not be sold in an open container or be consumed in licensed premises
All checkout operators and their team trainers shall have additional training in the sale of alcohol.
All training in the sale of alcohol and revision/refresher materials will be reviewed regularly to ensure that members of staff are equipped to meet all the licensing objectives.
A central alcohol licensing compliance manager and compliance committee shall be in place to ensure legal compliance to licensing laws.
A notice or notices shall be displayed wherever alcohol is displayed for sale which can be clearly seen and read and shall indicate that no alcohol shall be sold to persons who appear to be under the age of 21 years unless they provide proof of identification as stipulated in the condition below. This will also be brought to the customer's attention through point of sale material at the checkout as well.
There shall be in place for the premises a written policy to prevent the sale or supply of alcohol to persons under 21 years of age. That policy shall require any person who appears to be under the age of 21 years to produce one of the following forms of identification:
- A recognised proof of age card accredited under the British Retail Consortiums Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS)
- Photo driving licence
- Passport
- Citizen card supported by the Home Office
- Official ID card issued by HM Forces or European Union bearing a photograph and birth of the holder
