ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS IMPOSED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE & UNDER PARAGRAPH 6(6) & 6(8) SCHEDULE 8 LICENSING ACT 2003
Staff shall receive training in relation to and sufficient to promote the Licensing Objectives
The licence holder and/or the designated premises supervisor or a person nominated by them shall be a member of and regularly attend at the meetings of the Pub and Club Watch schemes for the area within which the premises is located.
All reasonable steps shall be taken to prevent noise.
No nuisance shall be caused by noise coming from the premises or by vibration transmitted through the structure of the premises to noise sensitive premises in the vicinity.
There shall be placed at all exits from the premises in a place where they can be seen and easily read by the public, notices requiring customers to leave the premises and the area quietly.
A notice or notices shall be displayed in and at the entrance to the premises where they can be clearly seen and read and shall indicate that it is unlawful for persons under 18 to purchase alcohol or for any person to purchase alcohol on behalf of a person under 18 years of age.
All external doors and windows shall be kept closed when regulated entertainment is being provided except in the event of an emergency or to facilitate immediate access or egress.
The licence holder or his representative shall conduct regular assessments of the noise coming from the premises on every occasion the premises are used for regulated entertainment and shall take steps to reduce the level of noise where it is likely to cause a disturbance to local residents.
Deliveries will not take place between 1800 hours and 0700 hours except when access at other times is unavoidable, in which case guidance will be given to minimise noise.
A CCTV system shall be installed internally at the premises and will meet the following criteria -
- The system will display on any recording the time and date of said recording.
- The system will be recording whenever the premises are open to the public.
- Any recordings will be retained for a minimum of 28 days after they are made and will
be produced to an authorised officer upon request.
- As a minimum, the system will capture images of the head and shoulders of any person
entering the premises through the main public entrance.
Appropriate signage alerting customers to the use of CCTV shall be displayed in a conspicuous position at the premises.
On a Friday and Saturday the DPS will carry out a detailed risk assessment prior to opening the premises to ascertain how many, if any, SIA door supervisors are required to ensure the premises is operated safely and in order to promote the licensing objective for the prevention of crime and disorder. The DPS will also take into account any advice provided by the Police on these occasions. The risk assessment will be in a written format and available to the Police if requested for a period of 28 days. As a minimum the risk assessment will include the following information:
- estimated number of attendees
- any details of significant dates for example, bank holiday weekends including bank
holiday Sundays, Christmas, New Year
- any local events, for example, football matches
Anyone under the age of 16 will be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
A 'Challenge 25' policy shall be adopted and enforced at the premises whereby any person who appears to be under the age of 25 shall be required to provide identification to prove that they are over the age of 18 before they are permitted to purchase alcohol. The only forms of acceptable identification will be:
- A passport
- A UK photo card Driving Licence
- Official ID card issued by HM Forces or EU bearing a photograph and the date of birth of
the holder
- Any other form of identification agreed with a representative of the Police Licensing Unit.
- Citizen card supported by the home office.
All staff who are involved in the sale of alcohol; will be trained in relation to Challenge 25 policy upon the commencement of their employment, following which they will undertake refresher training at suitable intervals. Said training will be documented and will be made available to an authorised officer upon request.
Bottles will not be disposed of externally between 20:00 and 08:00
