ANNEX 2 CONDITIONS IMPOSED BY VIRTUE OF BEING CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE OR PARAGRAPH 6(6) OR 6(8) SCHEDULE 8 LICENSING ACT 2003
Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours. In this condition, permitted hours mean:
(a) On Mondays between 08:00 and 24:00 hours;
(b) On Tuesday to Friday 00:00 and 24:00 hours;
(c) On Saturday 00:00 and 23:00 hours;
(d) On Sunday 10:00 and 22:30 hours.
The above restrictions do not prohibit:
(a) during the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the taking of the alcohol from the premises, unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;
(b) the ordering of alcohol to be consumed off the premises, or the despatch by the vendor of the alcohol so ordered;
(c) the sale of alcohol to a trader or club for the purposes of the trade or club;
(d) the sale or supply of alcohol to any canteen or mess, being a canteen in which the sale or supply of alcohol is carried out under the authority of the Secretary of State or an authorised mess of members of Her Majesty’s naval, military or air forces;
Alcohol shall not be sold in an open container or be consumed in licensed premises
No child shall be employed so long as he/she is under the age of 14 years to do any work other than light work or before the close of school hours on any day on which he/she is required to attend school or before 7 o’clock in the morning or after 7 o’clock in the evening on any day or for more than 2 hours on any day on which he/she is required to attend school or for more than 2 hours on a Sunday or more than 35 hours, or if he/she is under the age of 15 years, for more than 25 hours in any week in which he/she is not required to attend school or for more than 4 hours in any day without a rest break of 1 hour or at any time in a year unless at that time he or she has had, or could still have, during the period in the year in which he is not required to attend school, at least two consecutive weeks without employment.
All checkout operators and their team trainers shall have additional training in the sale of alcohol.
A CCTV system shall be installed maintained and operated. The system, unless defective shall record images during the whole time that the premises are open to the public and those images shall be made available to the Police or Licensing Authority. The system shall be maintained and images retained to the satisfaction of Lancashire Constabulary.
Persons who appear to be under the age of 18 years shall be required to produce proof of age by way of one of the following:-
a recognised prrof of age card accredited under the British Retail Consortium Proof of Age Standard Scheme (PASS);
a photo driving licence;
a passport;
a Citizen Card supported by the Home Office;
an official ID Card issued by H.M. Forces or a European Union State bearing a photograph and birth date of the holder.
If appropriate proof referred to in the previous condition is not provided there shall be no sale of alcohol to that person.
Sale of alcohol shall be made by means of a cash register system that incorporates an automatic prompt when age related products are passed through the system by means of a bar code or other product identification technology.
