ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS IMPOSED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE & UNDER PARAGRAPH 18(4) & 18(5) SCHEDULE 8 LICENSING ACT 2003
The premises shall be operated as a bona fide qualifying club licensable activities being confined to members of the club and a member's guests only
Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours. The above restriction does not apply to the supply to, or consumption by, any person of alcohol in any premises where they are residing.
Where there is an entertainment for children or an entertainment at which the majority of the persons attending are children, then if the number of children attending the entertainment exceeds 100 it shall be the duty of the person providing the entertainment to station and keep stationed wherever necessary a sufficient number of adult attendants, properly instructed as to their duties, to prevent more children or other persons being admitted to the building, or part thereof, than the building or part can properly accommodate, and to control the movement of the children and other persons admitted while entering and leaving the building or an part thereof, and to take all reasonable precautions for the safety of the children.
The premises licence holder or club premises certificate holder when permitting for hire or reward, the building to be used for the purpose of an entertainment, shall take all reasonable steps to ensure the observance of the provision of the above provision
No person under the age of 16 years and no child aged 16 years shall take part in any performance to which Section 37 (2) of the Children and Young Persons Act 1963 applies, and in which his life or limbs are endangered.
All the conditions of the Cinematograph (Safety) Regulations 1955 unless the premises are used only occasionally and in any case on no more than 6 occasions in a callender year for the showing of films
The club shall comply with and on no occasion exceed any capacity limit established by regulation, under a Health and Safety at Work risk assessment or an assessment under the Fire Safety (Workplace) Regulations 1997.
The above safe occupancy level shall be maintained by a ticketed only function system when necessary
All emergency escape routes shall be prominently signed and illuminated
No portable electrical equipment shall be connected to the mains electrical circuit except via a residual current detection device unless the mains circuit is isolated from the lighting and emergency lighting circuits by means of a circuit breaker at the distribution board
There shall be placed at all exits from the premises in a place where they can be seen and easily read by members and their guests, notices requiring customers to leave the premises and the area quietly.
Bar staff shall instruct members and their guests leaving the premises to do so in an orderly manner
No nuisance shall be caused by regulated entertainment by noise level adjustment
No person under the age of 18 shall be allowed to enter or remain on the indoor licensed area of the premises unless accompanied by a member or guest of a member who is at least 18 years of age.
A notice or notices shall be displayed in and at the entrance to the premises where they can be clearly seen and read and shall indicate that it is unlawful for persons under 18 to purchase alcohol or for any person to purchase alcohol on behalf of a person under 18 years of age.
Identification will be requested from any member or gest not familiar to them) who appears to be under 25 years of age, attempting to by alcohol.
The Committee and bar staff shall receive instruction to promote the licensing objectives
The committee and the steward and any other person assisting on the premise must be fully aware of their responsibilities to promote the licensing objectives. Regular training will be provided in respect of Health and Safety and Alcohol Awareness and a record will be kept of the training and made available upon the request of a police offcer.
Staff will be trained about their obligation under the legislation to refuse to serve alcohol to anyone who appears to be intoxicated or who is causing a public nuisance.
CCTV to be maintained and footage made available to the police upon request.
The children of members and guests wil ne allowed on the premises but staff and the committee must be fully briefed abd regularly updated in relation to child protection issues.
